Aftershock (Chinese: 唐山大地震; pinyin: Tángshān Dàdìzhèn, Tangshan Great Earthquake) is a 2010 Chinese drama film depicting the aftermath of the 1976 Tangshan earthquake directed by Feng Xiaogang. The film stars Xu Fan and Zhang Jingchu, with a supporting cast including Li Chen.[2] It was released in China on July 22, 2010, and is the first "big commercial film" IMAX film created outside the US.[1]The film was a major box-office success, and has grossed $100 million USD at the Chinese box-office.
